Julie Choi
M.S. in Foreign Service Student
Julie Choi is a graduate student in the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program at Georgetown University with a concentration in Global Politics and Security. Her current focus is on post-colonial legacies and their impacts on international relations.
Prior to graduate school, Julie received her B.A. in International Relations and Diplomatic History from the University of Maryland. She worked at the United Nations Association of the National Capital Area as an advocacy fellow publishing pieces on Asian American rights, ROK-Japan relations, and mental health. After, she worked in South Korea for 3 years as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant with both North and South Korean students.
Currently, Julie is an intern with the North Korean Human Rights Database where she leverages her native Korean fluency to bring more cultural nuance into her research and advocacy work. She is also a Charles B. Rangel Fellow with the State Department and will enter the Foreign Service upon graduation.
