Hannah Hoffmann

Hannah Hoffmann is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Madison, Wisconsin. From 2023-2025 she worked in the education sector in Kosovo as an English Education Volunteer. In this role, she taught across nine grade levels and organized weekly English clubs for young learners. She also supported volunteer training through workshop development and teacher shadowing, contributed to program evaluation and reporting, and served on the Small Projects Assistance Committee that reviewed volunteer grant applications supporting local initiatives. 

Hannah is a 2023 graduate of Luther College, where she earned her B.A. in International Relations with a minor in Cultural Anthropology, graduating summa cum laude and as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Her undergraduate research focused on the geopolitical and diplomatic challenges surrounding Kosovo’s international recognition. She also led a research and public dialogue project with peacebuilding expert Steinar Bryn titled The Road to Reconciliation, examining dialogue-based approaches to the Serbia–Kosovo reconciliation process. In addition, she studied abroad at the University of Malta, where she researched migration dynamics in the Mediterranean and completed an internship with the Migrant Women’s Malta Association supporting programs for migrant women. Outside of her academic work, Hannah was involved in leadership roles with several organizations including serving as president of her college’s Model United Nations program and captain of the women’s ultimate frisbee team. 

Through the Global Human Development (GHD) program at Georgetown University, Hannah hopes to deepen her work in community development and peacebuilding in post-conflict contexts. 

In her free time, Hannah can be found playing ultimate frisbee, reading, getting way too competitive over a board game, or listening to a podcast at the gym.
