Graham Harper

M.S. in Foreign Service Student

Graham Harper is a candidate in the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) program at Georgetown University, concentrating in Global Politics & Security. His interests include U.S. national security strategy, information, and diplomacy focusing on the Middle East and emerging global threats, particularly how states adapt to shifting power balances.
Hailing from Seattle, he attended the University of Washington-Seattle, earning a BA in Political Science: International Security and an MA in Middle Eastern Studies focusing on comparative space policy, counterterrorism and open-source intelligence in modern conflict. He was a Foreign Language and Area Studies fellow in Israel in 2019 and simultaneously worked as a research assistant at the International Institute for Counterterrorism at Reichman University in Herzliya, IL.
Graham has served in the US Army since 2012, becoming an Officer through ROTC at the University of Washington in 2020. His last duty station was at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He has two deployments and has supported missions in various Geographic Combatant Commands. He continues to serve in the US Army Reserve.
