Florence Tang
M.S. in Foreign Service Student
Florence Tang is a graduate student in the Master of Science in Foreign Service program at Georgetown Walsh School of Foreign Service, where she is concentrating in Science, Technology, & International Affairs. Her areas of interest include the intersection of technology and diplomacy, particularly cyber and space policy, as well as transatlantic and U.S.–Pacific relations.
Prior to Georgetown, Florence spent two years with the Fulbright program in Taiwan, where she worked with local schools, community organizations, and the American Institute in Taiwan to build mutual understanding. She is also passionate about education initiatives, and has designed and delivered educational programming for students in both Taiwan and Germany. As an undergraduate, Florence interned with the U.S. Embassy Berlin and with the U.S. Embassy Tri-Missions Vienna.
Florence holds a Bachelor of Arts in Governance from the University of Freiburg, Germany, where she focused on transatlantic and U.S.-China relations. She speaks Mandarin Chinese and German.
