Clémentine Gautier

M.S. in Foreign Service Student

Clémentine Gautier is a French MSFS student specializing in European and transatlantic affairs. She holds a dual degree in Laws and International Relations, with a strong focus on EU governance, international law, and sanctions policy. Prior to joining Georgetown, she worked as a legal consultant on European ESG regulations and interned at a French law firm specializing in international litigation and sanctions. Her academic work also includes a research program with the UNSSC and a thesis on the effectiveness of EU sanctions against Russia.

Having lived in France, Morocco, Spain, Brazil and the United States, Clémentine brings a multicultural perspective and a strong interest in multilateral cooperation. She serves currently as Associate Secretary-General of the Georgetown European Policy Organization (EPO).

Passionate about EU–US relations, security cooperation and international justice, she aims to pursue a career in European diplomacy. She is particularly interested in the intersection of law and foreign policy, and is committed to working toward more effective and cooperative transatlantic engagement.
