Christopher Kirkwood
Global Human Development Student
Christopher Kirkwood is a returned Peace Corps volunteer and graduate of Trinity College with a professional focus on economic development for underserved communities worldwide. He aspires to work in public service at the intersection of private and public humanitarian efforts as a representative for impacted stakeholders. During his time in the Peace Corps Christopher focused on agricultural sustainability projects and a USAID grant to build a computer lab for his community in rural Uganda.
Christopher holds a B.B.S. Honours Bachelor Degree in Global Business from Trinity College of Dublin where He focused on social entrepreneurship and economic development. While at University Christopher took a leadership role in the Amnesty international society of Trinity. During this time he co-led Jailbreak, Ireland’s largest student run charity event, which has raised more than $500,000 for Amnesty international, Cumann Gaelach, and the Society of St Vincent De Paul since its inception in the 2010’s.
Born in Japan and raised between Thailand and the UK, Christopher hopes to bring his global perspective and the hand-on experience developed during his Peace Corps Service to assist the international community with grassroots projects aimed at addressing social inequality.
