Alzbeta Findlay
Director of Academic Affairs
Alzbeta Findlay, Director of Academic Affairs for the Security Studies Program, is the primary academic counselor for the program. She and her team of academic advisors guide current students through the degree program with individual academic counseling and ensure ongoing academic support for all. Alzbeta also
manages key administrative aspects of the degree program, including course registration, degree audits and clearance processes, as well as the administration of comprehensive exams. She works closely with the SSP Director and Associate Director on all matters related to academic policies and degree requirements.
Alzbeta holds M.A. degrees in English from Louisiana State University and in Comparative Linguistics from Palacký University in the Czech Republic. Having once been an international student herself, she is passionate about international education and advising. She has worked in this field at Boston University, The Catholic University of America (CUA), Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and Jerudong International School. She has also served at U.S. embassies in Bulgaria and Brunei and managed the EducationUSA Center in Prague. Alzbeta’s goal is to provide outstanding support to SSP students, leading to a successful and rewarding educational journey for all.
