Alexandra Hamilton
2026 Pelosi Scholar
Class of 2028
Major: Regional and Comparative Studies
Hometown: Houston, TX
Growing up, Alexandra spent her summers in Colima, Mexico, where she saw firsthand the impacts of poverty and cartels. These experiences sparked her commitment to tackling immigration, drug networks, and human rights challenges across Latin America. This summer, her work interpreting for indigenous groups from Guatemala in congressional hearings reinforced her belief in public service as a vehicle for meaningful change.
On campus, she serves as DEI Committee Co-Chair for the SFS Academic Council, is an editor for the Georgetown Caravel, and contributes to the development team of the Georgetown Journal of International Affairs. In the future, Alex hopes to pursue a career in the State Department or nonprofit sector focusing on Latin America, and looks forward to deepening her foreign policy experience through the Pelosi Scholars Initiative.
