You can gain professional experience here in the nationās capital through internships and prepare to take your career around the world. With Washington, DC, as a home base, about 95% of SFS undergraduates intern here, with an average of three internships per student. No matter what stage youāre at, Georgetown University and SFS will support and help you reach your goals.

Cawley Career Education Center
You can connect with the Cawley Career Education Center to meet with professional advisors who can help with everything from developing a professional resume and interview skills to exploring how to break into an industry or field.
To help you learn about available opportunities and prepare for professional life, Cawley offers drop-in appointments, industry advising appointments, career exploration appointments and mock interviews.
Career fairs
Every year, employers nationwide attend our Annual Fall Career Fair to recruit Georgetown students and alumni for full-time jobs and internship opportunities in various industries. These fairs are offered exclusively for Georgetown students and alumni.
Our annual Government, Education, and Nonprofit Career Fair, held in the spring, connects students with employers from local, state, and the federal government; public, private, and charter schools; and nonprofit organizations.
Paul F. Pelosi Scholars Initiative
The Paul F. Pelosi Scholars Initiative provides a professional skillset, a network and hands-on experience to help you prepare for a public service career.
