Peter F. Krogh Honors Seminar

This seminar offers an intimate, high-level academic experience in which a select group of students works closely with a senior faculty member on a critical international affairs topic.

As a participant, you will engage in in-depth discussions and research with a faculty expert, preparing you for leadership roles in global affairs.

The SFS Undergraduate Scholars Program

The School of Foreign Service Undergraduate Scholars Program places SFS undergraduate students in different research centers, often tied to master’s programs, throughout the School of Foreign Service. If you are interested in national security, you might work with the Center for Security Studies; those interested in Asia could engage with the Asian Studies Program and so on.

As a scholar, you will work on professional projects, conduct advanced research, get to know graduate faculty and master’s students and engage in the intellectual life of the programs. The specifics will vary: you might conduct research in teams for an international organization or corporation, assist Georgetown scholars in their research or even do independent work under the supervision of a graduate student and professor. Regardless of the path you take, you will be part of a small group focused on cutting-edge research and important issues in the world today. Chosen scholars will be with the centers and programs for at least a year.

The application period for the 2025-2026 academic year will open in mid-April.

Open to undergraduate SFS students with an interest in advanced research.

If you have any questions, please reach out to the SFS Undergraduate Dean’s Office.
