Intercampus Exchange Opportunities

  • Take a course with the Global Classroom: Both campuses have access to a custom-built mirror digital telepresence classroom, where students can take classes and have live discussions with their peers at GU-Q. Search RPX Global Classroom in the class schedule. Courses have included Quantitative Methods, South Asia in the Indian Ocean, and Race, Power, and Justice at GU.
  • Participate in the DC-Doha Dialogue: Each year a small cohort of students from each campus spend a week at the other campus in an intensive week of exchange. Participants take turns hosting each other and sharing knowledge on the theme of the year. Past themes focused on Sports, Culture & Society, Social Justice Initiatives, and the activation of Jesuit ideals. Contact John Wright for more information.

SFS Asia-Pacific Initiative Anchor

SFS Asia-Pacific Initiative

SFS plans to establish SFS Asia-Pacific Initiative in Jakarta, Indonesia, a new branch of SFS operations in January 2025. The core mission of the branch is to address the challenges of the Global South through credit-bearing experiential courses for SFS graduate students. The focus of this branch will be multilateral. In addition to graduate-level and executive training initiatives, SFS Asia-Pacific Initiative also underpins an incoming visiting student program for Indonesian undergraduates to Georgetown University in collaboration with the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA).

BSFS IISMA Partnership

Georgetown University’s partnership with the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) aims to support Indonesian students who have been awarded an IISMA Scholarship. Participants in this program have the opportunity to spend one semester at Georgetown University, where they can engage in rigorous academic study, immerse themselves in the vibrant Washington, DC culture, and undertake practical assignments tailored to enhance their skill sets. This program provides students with invaluable international exposure and academic enrichment, significantly contributing to their personal growth and professional development.
