An original world-premiere production created and presented by Georgetown’s Laboratory for Global Performance and Politics

Oscar-nominated actor David Strathairn (Good Night and Good Luck; Lincoln), stars in this powerful and timely world premiere solo play which explores the legacy of Jan Karski, Polish World War II hero, Holocaust witness, and longtime beloved SFS professor. The play brings home the enduring lessons of Karski’s extraordinary life — especially his belief in humanity, even in the darkest times.

8:30 AM – 3:30 PM: Stubborn Problems and Ingenious Solutions – SFS Looks at the 21st Century 

Prominent SFS alumni, faculty, and guests will discuss the most urgent issues facing the world—the prevention of war, climate change, forced migration, the future of democracy, diversity as a critical part of international policy-making, and much more. The day will include two plenary sessions, as well as two breakout sessions.
