The Undergraduate Program
The School of Foreign Service undergraduate program—the Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (BSFS) combines a broadly based liberal arts curriculum with an interdisciplinary focus in international affairs. The program provides a solid basis for careers and further study in a wide variety of fields. Our students regularly go on to law or medical school, advanced academic study or work in business or government. Core curriculum
In their first two years, SFS undergraduate students pursue a rigorous interdisciplinary, liberal arts core curriculum that provides them a solid foundation in international affairs.
Majors
Seven basic interdisciplinary majors are available. Students combine core requirements for each major with electives drawn from departments across the University. Specific electives vary each semester and students can thus craft a unique course of study from the hundreds of options offered.
