Admissions & Aid
At the School of Foreign Service, we look for passionate students to join us to make the world better.
We want to know your unique story, personality and aspirations. While your academic background is a key factor, we look for accomplishments outside the classroom, demonstrated commitment to the broader community and personal qualities such as resiliency, motivation and ambition. These attributes prepare you to join the Georgetown University tradition of cura personalis – care for the whole person – so you can both add to and benefit from our community.
Undergraduate degrees
First-year students, external transfer students and internal transfer students, both domestic and international, should apply as undergraduates. Please review information about the application and admissions process so you are prepared to apply successfully.
Graduate programs
The School of Foreign Service graduate programs manage their own admissions and some financial aid processes. To be considered for admission, applicants must submit an online application and program-specific required materials.
