Commencement 2009
Thank you for visiting the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service Commencement website.
The 2009 Commencement ceremony will take place on Healy Lawn on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at 9:00am. Additional details will be published as they become available. In the event of inclement weather, the rain site for our commencement exercises is the McDonough Arena.
No tickets are required for the SFS Commencement Ceremony, rain or shine.
We congratulate all of our graduating seniors and welcome the friends and family who will share this momentous day with them. To make the most of the day, we invite you to consider the resources the University has made available covering such concerns as lodging, parking, and directions to campus.
As we begin to prepare for our Tropaia Awards Ceremony and Commencement, we want to make sure we are meeting the needs of our students and their guests. If you and/or your guest have any special needs for the ceremonies (i.e. wheelchairs, interpreters, handicap seating, etc.), please contact Kendra Baity at kpb2@georgetown.edu. We will need the name of the student and/or guest, specific requirements (i.e. one wheelchair, handicap seating (no wheelchair), and the events they will need this special arrangement for. Please submit information by Monday, May 11th. If you have any questions, please contact Kendra Baity.
