Are you a rising junior or senior? Are you interested in Latin American political institutions? Do you have at least an advanced level of proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish? If the answer to all three of these questions is yes, please read on!
SIGLA (States and Institutions of Governance in Latin America, http://sigla.georgetown.domains/gateway/) is a multi-lingual database providing information on political and legal institutions in Latin America. Systematic and user-friendly, SIGLA aims to become the authoritative source of data on law and politics in Latin America for scholars, policymakers, and other practitioners in the U.S., across the region, and around the world.
SIGLA seeks to hire several Research Assistants (RA) to join the research team this summer (with the potential to continue working with SIGLA during the 2022-2023 academic year). RAs work 10-15 hours/week gathering, systematizing, organizing, updating, verifying, publishing, and performing quality assurance on the data published on the SIGLA site, which are freely available on the internet.
If you are interested in joining the SIGLA team, please complete the application form attached to this email, and then email it to Prof. Diana Kapiszewski (dk784@georgetown.edu) by Wednesday, April 13.
