Security and Development Forum

The Georgetown Anti-Poverty Society, in collaboration with the Master of Science in Foreign Service Program invites you to join DevTalks: Security and Development.

The event will consist of a series of four short and powerful Ted Talks style presentations (15 minutes) from leading experts on:

·       Counter-terrorism, Gender, and Development

Naureen Chowdhury Fink, Senior Gender Adviser UN CTED/UN WOMEN

·       Bridging the Humanitarian-Development Divide

Franck Bousquet, Senior Director of the Fragility, Conflict, and Violence Group, World Bank

·       Preparing for Post-Conflict Transitions

Amb. Barbara Bodine, Director, Institute for the Study of Diplomacy and Former U.S. Ambassador to Yemen

·       Refugee Integration

Eskinder Negash, Acting CEO and VP, USCRI

A panel discussion will follow with all presenters, moderated by Ambassador Chester Crocker. The evening will conclude with a networking reception where students will have the opportunity to connect and engage with experts from this field.
