CCAS will be screening the 2017 documentary “Landless Moroccans” on November 28 in the CCAS Boardroom (ICC 141). MAAS student Kaylee Steck will give a brief introduction on the subject of land in Morocco before the showing.
The film documents the struggle of guiche inhabitants in Morocco to retain their lands following the state’s decision to expropriate them. It exposes the profound impacts of land development on occupants, particularly women, leaving them insecure in an ambiguous legal environment.
We hope you’ll join us for this illuminating documentary on an important topic. Refreshments will be provided.
