Leadership & Service: Catalyzing Action in a Diverse World

January 15 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm EST

Join the MSFS Student Reps in honoring Dr. King’s legacy by participating in a workshop on leadership, service, and activism in our 21st Century diverse and globalized world. We will be led by Ms. Yewande Austin, award-winning artist, activist, and honorary U.S. Cultural Ambassador, for a two-hour interactive conversation that will help students build the necessary tools to effectively negotiate diverse, multi-cultural spaces and succeed when offered international job and leadership opportunities. This interactive workshop will challenge students in individual break-out groups to find value in their own diversity, master unbiased communication, peacefully resolve social conflict and create inclusive environments that respect, honor and celebrate every voice!

With the help from the MSFS Service Committee, there will be a service activity in the D.C. area after the training. More details will be released in the coming days. For questions, please email msfsservice@gmail.com.

All student must submit a $30 deposit. Students are expected to stay throughout the duration of the training.

*** Lunch will be served***

[This event is closed to MSFS students only.]
