The Global Human Development Program is welcome to host Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, former President of Liberia, on Tuesday, March 20, from 3:00-4:30pm in Fisher Colloquium at Georgetown University.
Ellen Johnson Sirleaf will be speaking on the future of democracy in Africa. The discussion will be moderated by Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield.
Ellen Johnson Sirleaf served as President of Liberia from 2006 to 2018. She is the 2011 recipient of the Nobel Peace Price, and the first woman to be elected chair of the Economic Community of West African States.
