2018 Raymond “Jit” Trainor Award and Lecture

February 12 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm EST

The Institute for the Study of Diplomacy
Edmund Walsh School of Foreign Service
and
Trustees of the Trainor Endowment

cordially invite you to the

2018  J. Raymond “Jit” Trainor Award
for
Excellence in the Conduct of Diplomacy

in honor of

The Honorable Madeleine K. Albright
Former United States Secretary of State

Secretary Albright exemplifies the core values of the Trainor Award for “excellence in the conduct of diplomacy” not only through her service as U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations and as the first woman Secretary of State, but by her commitment to the next generation of policymakers as the Michael and Virginia Mortara Endowed Distinguished Professor in the Practice of Diplomacy – and her strong voice in support of a bipartisan foreign policy rooted in our values and principles. It is fitting that this award to such a distinguished practitioner and advocate for diplomacy launches ISD’s 40th Anniversary events.
