SFS welcomed alumnus Denis McDonough (MSFS’96) back for a Georgetown Master of Science in Foreign Service Program (MSFS) alumni reception on November 13, 2017. He reflected on his time as both Deputy National Security Advisor and Chief of Staff to President Barack Obama, and the difficulties and rewards of those jobs. He also encouraged students to invest in forging relationships while in the program, because of the incredible talent found among the student body who will go on to make an impact on the world. McDonough took questions from the students following his remarks.
