Title: Josev Omar Aquino

Josev Omar AquinoJosev is a rising Junior in the School of Foreign Service, majoring in Science, Technology and International Affairs. Originally from Davao City, Philippines, his interest in international relations started to develop during the time of the Great Recession in ’08 – the same year when he emigrated to the United States. He is passionate about issues concerning global health, social justice, the environment, and human rights. This summer, Josev spent eight weeks in Iganga District working with the Uganda Village Project in assisting the development of healthy villages in rural Uganda. Initiatives include working with community partners to address public health issues such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, family planning, obstetric fistula, and water sanitation.
