Title: Global Human Development Internships

GHD students are required to undertake a field project in the summer between their two years of study that will involve hands-on development work. GHD students performed their field projects primarily in countries across Africa, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. They worked with public and private organizations such as the UN, the World Bank, large international NGOs and small local and regional organizations.

The summer field project gives students practical development experience as well as an opportunity to practice and extend what they have learned in the classroom. The summer project also deepens the technical specialization of the students and allows them to reflect on effective and ethical development practices.
