George Gurrola is a second year student in the Center for Latin American Studies and is also concentrating in security studies. He is interested in US foreign policy, specifically the intersection of development and security policy. This summer he served at the US Embassy in Santiago while concurrently studying International Relations at the Universidad de Alberto Hurtado. George was raised in both Guadalajara, JAL, Mexico and San Antonio, Texas. When not studying or interning, he explored the diverse culture and geography of Chile.
