Eric Salgado is a graduate student completing his Master of Arts in Latin American studies with a concentration in government. He is a recipient of the 2015 Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Fellowship through the U.S. Department of State and spent his summer interning in the political section of the United States Embassy in Brasilia, Brazil. His international experiences include travel and study in Nicaragua, Ecuador, Cuba and Mexico. His areas of academic interest include U.S. - Latin American Relations, Citizen Security and Human Rights in Latin America, as well as Latin American Politics. He enjoyed the timing of his internship in Brazil, especially as the political crisis continued to evolve and Brazil hosted their first Olympic Games!
