First Application Deadline: January 16, 2019
We are contacting you from the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) to let you know about an exciting opportunity open to both graduate and advanced undergraduate students across Georgetown University.
This summer, we will offer three 6-credit academic programs at the graduate level in Brazil, Chile, and Colombia, in partnership with a leading university in each country. All program participants take one 3-credit graduate class conducted in the local language. In order to earn the other 3 graduate credits, participants may carry out a professional internship with an international organization, NGO, or government agency, which CLAS helps arrange, or may conduct independent research. In either scenario, participants produce a substantial academic product and their work is overseen by a Georgetown University faculty member. The Brazil program also includes an optional intensive non-credit Portuguese course designed to meet Department of Education FLAS summer grants expectations.
Below are links to the program websites where you will find more information and the link to apply. Applications for each of the summer programs will be accepted until January 16, 2019, with late applications considered on a case-by-case basis.
