Brandi Coleman

Brandi Coleman is a rising sophomore in the School of Foreign Service majoring in International Politics with a concentration in Security Studies, minoring in Spanish, and working to achieve a certificate in either Diplomatic Studies or Australia and New Zealand Studies. This summer Brandi studied abroad in Quito, Ecuador as a member of the Race, Gender, and Ethnicity in Latin America program from May 23-July 6. Brandi explored critical theories of race, gender, and ethnicity in the context of Latin American history and modern society through extensive field experiences - both in the capital city of Quito and the province of Chimborazo - exploring how indigenous, colonial, and contemporary perspectives have shaped culture and society in Ecuador and throughout Latin America.
