Portland, Oregon  – February 6, 2017

Please join us for a unique discussion with Fr. Matthew Carnes, Associate Professor in the Department of Government and the School of Foreign Service, and currently Director of the Center for Latin American Studies. Fr. Carnes is a member of the University’s Working Group on Slavery, Memory and Reconciliation, and we’ve asked him to speak to us about the project and any updates, including the school’s most recent recommendations.  He has been highly decorated, including winning the Dorothy Brown Award for Outstanding Teaching Achievement– Georgetown’s highest Award.

Boston, Massachusetts  – December 14, 2016

Please join us for a special discussion with Fr. Matthew Carnes SJ, associate professor in the Dept. of Government and the School of Foreign Service, and Director of the Center for Latin American Studies. Fr. Carnes is also a member of the Working Group on Slavery, Memory and Reconciliation, and we’ve asked him to speak to us about the history, the recent school recommendations, and the latest update. Fr. Carnes’ teaching is highly decorated, and in 2011, he was honored with the Dorothy Brown Award for Outstanding Teaching Achievement, Georgetown’s highest teaching award.

Please join us for a conversation with Professor Anthony Clark Arend, Senior Associate Dean for Graduate Affairs at the School of Foreign Service for the Georgetown Club of Chicago’s annual Holiday Party at the Union League Club of Chicago for a night of cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and holiday spirit! One of Georgetown’s most beloved faculty members, Prof. Arend’s remarks will center on foreign policy advice for the next President of the United States. This event will include a complimentary reception with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.
