President Obama Speaks in Gaston Hall
President Barack Obama, seen above in Gaston Hall, chose Georgetown during his first 100 days as the venue for a major economic address.
The standing-room only crowd listened to what has come to be known as “the New Foundation speech” for its introduction of a broad economic vision for the Obama presidency, one which will require “action, bold and swift… not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth.”
